  1. dentists I would say now. I started taking mine at 4 and eye doctor I would wait till K or 1st grade. But, if she show signs of not seeing will do it then.

  2. My daughter had her first dentist appointment at age 3,  and it was only about for ten minutes. We saw an eye doctor when she turned four then we found out that she needed glasses.

    good luck

  3. when they are ready...

go in for normal check ups

  4. A child should see a dentist as soon as she gets teeth.  At age 4, she's probably close to getting permanent teeth already!  And I hope you've already taught her how to brush.  If kids are taught at a very young age to care for their teeth, it will become a habit much easier.

As for eye doctor, I'd say around the time she's starting school, unless you notice her vision seems to be a problem earlier.  If you take her too young, she won't understand what's going on and won;t be able to understand the vision tests.

  5. she should have seen a dentist by now. my kids go to the dentist once a year starting at age 1, and twice a year by age 5.

An eye doctor is only needed if her pediatrician suspects a problem, or when she is ready to go to school.

  6. ask ur doctor about it but i think it si time for u to take her to speciallists

  7. Get your daughter use to the dentist the younger the better.

  8. all i know is that on Jon and Kate plus Eight, they brought their 3 year olds to the dentist for a general check up and two were brought to the eye dr..  so yeah. about 3

  9. 3-4 years old, you should take you child to a pediatric dentist. They will set you up with regular, every 6 month appointments if they see it necessary, or it might just be once a year. In any case, your daughter should be going to te dentist. Also, if you believe your daughter has a vision problem, that's when it is suggested that the see an opthamologist, but usually in grade school (elementry) your child will get an eye exam from the nurse and if they find anything unusual, they contact you and suggest that you take your daughter to an eye doc.

  10. The earlier you start with the dentist the less scared she will be as an adult.  Get a good one that will be gentle.  Should see a hygienist for cleaning.  They are good with children.  Teaching them how to brush each tooth.  Asking if did you get this one?  helps.  If you are doing the brushing after they try.  Let her brush first then tell her to let you check and with the brush you should say did you get this one?  ect...Yes they should have their eyes checked as well.  She could have astigmatism as my daughter did.  Glasses corrected it.  The earlier the better.

  11. She should have been getting regular dental check-ups by 2 or 3.  As long as the doctor is doing an eye test at every visit, she probably doesn't need to get her eyes checked until/unless you notice problems with her vision. (If the eye tests at the doctor find a problem, he will recommend further evaluation.)

  12. My pediatrition told me to take my kids to the dentist when they are 2-3 years old, and they should do vision screenings at the dr. office and unless they see a problem they won't see an eye doc. till they start scool.  My son is 1 and he saw an eye doc at 7 months, but that is because he had to, he was shaken at 6mos and they had to check is retinas.  Just ask your pedi if you want to know, they should be able to tell you based on your specific child.  Good luck.

  13. Babies should have their first visit ti dentist at 12 months after that every 6 months. For the eyes the kids doctor & you should see if there is a problem with your kids eyes, if you think there is you should tell your doctor to refer you to an specialist. But if you don't ask or speak up about questions concerning your kid the doctor then is not a good doctor because usually they tell you if there is something wrong.. For example I notice my oldest daugther was not hearing ok, I took her to  the Doctor and explain the situation then I asked him to refer her to an specialist, which he did but before he took some test to evaluate gave me an answer and then when I took her with the specialist the gave me the same answer., She needs an operation due to a problem caused by sinusitis not very common on her age. But like I said if you think the doctor is not being very informative then I will suggest you to change to another pediatrician.  Good luck !!!

  14. She should see the dentist now, at age 4.  The eye doctor depends.  When she goes to the pediatrician they check their eyes.  My daughters reading at the pediatrician was 20/30 and I asked about an eye doctor and they told me not to worry.  At her next visit it was 20/35 and again the pediatrician told me not to worry.  So I took her to the eye doctor any way, and she needed glasses.  Her eyes are a +6 which is pretty bad.  So I would suggest the dentist at age4 and the eye doctor, at least once, maybe before school starts.
