  1. I expect most people to be out of the parents' house by 22. I hope to be out of mine before that.

  2. 18

I wanna get rid of them as soon as possible.

  3. Well there is no right or wrong answer cause people face problems and sometimes have to move back home cause my mom had trouble with a man and we moved back in with my grandma.

Of course for me I would want to move out by 18 cause I am getting tired of being at home.......to much drama, and no peace......love my mom and little sister to death but I cant wait to leave........Going to Harvard.........be back to visit

  4. 20.

    I was out at 16.

  5. Well, I am Italian,,, we don't move out until we buy our first house usually at age 28 and 2 weeks away from our wedding date. But in general I think if you don't plan on going to college right out of school then you need to get a full time job and either move out or pay rent. If you plan on going to community college then you should live with your parents, get a part time job and pay for school and your vehicle and let your parents pay for your room and board. If you go away to college then you should only go back to mommy and daddy if you cant find a job right away and then only for a year.

  6. age 18 for both genders. my best friend was still living at his parents' house till age 32. i somehow wonder if this is why he could never pick up chicks.

i would never date a guy who still lived with his parents, unless it were for a good reason (such as a disabled parent).

  7. For both men and women I would say about 28 or a little less.

I was fifteen when I moved away from my father(no mom) but then again I ran away when I was 15 and didn't contact them until 3 1/2 years later. They thought I was dead.

  8. 23 if they have gotten a BA  and 25 if they went for an MA

  9. In my humble opinion, the smartest people live as long as possible with their parents (to save money & advance their careers.)  Unless they really need/want independence...then again I guess that's a turn-off for many women.

There is no right or wrong answer here...I guess it depends on many variables.

  10. "unacceptable" is kind of a strong word.

past twenty though, I'd be kind of suspicious that he hasn't at least tried to get his own place.

    same with females.

I moved out at seventeen, got a full time job and an apartment. I really don't see how it's so hard.

  11. For either gender, I'd say as soon as you're able to halfway support yourself financially.  Maybe that's 18, as some have suggested, and maybe that's sometime in your 20's.

I suppose it also depends on whether you call living away at college in a dorm or apartment "moved out of the house" -- some people would, and some people wouldn't.  You could either say that I moved out at 17 or haven't 100% done so even yet in my mid 20's (working on a Ph.D.) by those two definitions.

For some, that's going to be right after high school when they get a job. . . others around the end of college when they have a job.  If you have to move back home again after college while job-hunting, then I'd keep it pretty short.  You either need to be going after that first "real" job pretty hard so you'll get one within a few months, or you need to be finding yourself a temporary job.

  12. My ex left home at 19 and got married and divorced. For years, he lived with different girlfriends (not me!). When the relationships didn't pan out and child support was eating up his weekly check, he couldn't see a way from underneath his problems until the kids were grown. He found himself 40 yrs old living with his mom.The babygirl just turned 18.

We are no longer together. He left figuring I would eventually look down on him like most superficial women would.

I was just happy he went to work everyday knowing that although he may have been hungry, his kids weren't. I prayed that one day it would eventually pay off!

  13. 18, u go to college then ur gone

  14. 90 days after high school graduation.  Bye bye.  Then, divorce your husband the same week, sell the house and move in with a bunch of old Buddhist scholars in a cabin cluster at 11,000 feet in the Colorado San Juans at the timberline, snowshow with your pet coyote five miles everynight beneath the stars, write a best-selling educational book, learn how to sky-dive, travel the world, get rich, grow an exquisite alpine and coastal moss collection in 14 refridgerators in your basement and learn how to do the microphotography of their itty-bitty blossoms, keep boys on the shelf for midnight snacks and eventually reach a point one day while climbing Mt. St. Helens or something when you get a phone call and learn you are now a grandmother creature.  And, it starts all over again.  Party while you can.  : )

  15. My son is 13 months old and I will be happy for him to move out of home when he is ready.  I didnt move out of home until I was about 24 years old.  I hate the fact people have kids and then want them to p**s off at 18, that is outrageous.

  16. 18

I moved out at 18....whats so hard about it?
