  1. 19 years and 363 days.

  2. They should be able to take their test at Seventeen.

With at least half a year experience.

  3. 18

  4. 17

  5. 16

  6. 14 and start driving at 16

  7. When you get a job you should get a car...unless your within walking distance of you're job, then hold off untill you've saved up enough to not have to borrow/use your parent's money.

  8. When they are responsible enough for them.  Some can handle it as soon as they get a license - some shouldn't have one until they turn 18.

  9. Anyone should be able to get a car at any age.

    BUT:

One should only be able to get their drivers license at about 16 or 17.

At this age, they should not only take extensive written and driving tests, but have to pass a maturity test with a state licensed psychologist.

If they pass and are deemed fit to drive, then they should only be granted graduated drivers licenses. Something like a license restricted to daytime hours with only family or adults in the car at first. After maybe a year, being allowed to drive anytime. After 18 years old and 2 years driving experience be allowed to drive with peers. Untill 21, all tickets have double points.

  10. as so as their old enough to pay for it

    lol

  11. 17.  that is prolly the most responsible age in their teen years so yeah...

  12. 18-21, I will never allow my child to drive, they will have to wait until they are legally old enough to know the consequences and pay themselves.

Too many of our friends died in high school for us to allow our child to drive one of those rolling death machines!

Teenagers are still children and most tend to treat a vehicle like a toy, they have not got the maturity to know how dangerous cars and such really are.

  13. when they get their drivers license

  14. Get a car? When ever they can afford it.. Get a license? As soon as possible. The delay in getting a license is of no benefit to anyone except the insurance agency. In california, if you have your license for 3 years and are not involved in a serious collision more than twice in those 3 years, (must be every 18 months), and don't have more than 1 point on license (I believe) you can qualify for the California Safe Driver discount which reduces rates by 25%. In other states, there should be some form of a safe driver discount as well.

The important thing is to learn safe driving habits early with the parents setting a good example. The last thing you'd want to is to get into a 'sticky situation' as a new driver all on his/her own.

  15. 17 is the right age.

at 16 you will be just too inexperienced

    and a hazard.

  16. i have one and im 15 lol... i think people should get one when they get a liscense but my parents didnt wait to get me one lol

  17. i think 17.

but if they buy the car before hand o well

  18. when they can afford it themselves

  19. no younger than 17 or 18 i think. if it's the old car that's what they can practice on. my brother just had a wreck but luckily it was the old car. so if it's a new car probably like 18 or 19.

  20. As soon as they can afford to buy one and carry insurance on it... of course and have a legal driving license.

  21. When they get their license... but they don't need a brand new car right off the lot.  Something cheap and used but safe and reliable.

  22. The 'best' time to get a license, would be 17.

To get a car.....When the teen in question has a job (or some other valid use for the vehicle).

  23. when they get their license. they've earned it

  24. 17 totally, right after 16 and b4 18!!!!!!!!

  25. 16 or 17
