  1. There's no age limit.  You just need to be responsible and able to put them in and take them out at your optometrist's office.  Before you can leave your Dr's office with the contacts, you have to have a class to learn how to take care of them properly, and they'll show you how to take them out and put them back in.  If you're not comfortable touching your eye, or can't open your eye very wide, then it's a good indication contacts aren't for you.

I've seen 10 year olds put them in better than 20 year olds, so it depends on the person, not really the age.  Just make sure you're ready to take care of them, because you can seriously injure your eyes if you aren't careful!

  2. There are no age limits. Contact lenses can become very expensive and is a consumable product. There are a number of discounters online that will ship you brand name contact lenses at up to 50% discount. One of them I know well is 2020vision4less.

  3. Anyone any age can use contacts..its more sensible to be older so you can take care of them. I am 14 and I have been using contacts for 3 months and they are great. If you want lenses that are affordable and great try Acuvue 2. If you order a half year supply from wal-mart acuvue 2 is 59.95 (if you get them from 1800 contacts its 70 something and from my opteometrist its 91.90. ) Acuvue 2 is really soft and abosolutely great. They are bi-weekly so you change them evry two weeks. If you have astigmatism it will cost more. If you want colored they will cost more also.

  4. You can use contacts at any age.  The youngest person I know started using contacts when she was ten.  Contact lenses require more responsibility to care and maintain them than eyeglasses do and many children are not ready for that much responsibility.

If you think you are ready for them check with your parents and eye doctor and about getting some.

I can't really answer the cost question because it is really dependent on the lenses prescribed.  I wear torics for astigmatism and they are generally more expensive than spherical lenses.
