  1. yes at the age of 1 is a good time to start going to the dentist.

  2. 3

or if they have any problems before then to cause them to need to go.

  3. my doctor told me by the time they turn two, they should have had a visit to the dentist.

  4. Around 2 or 3 years, that's what my dentist told me.

  5. I took my daughter to the dentist when she was 1 year old. It only took like 2 minutes and she was not scared or anything, actually she had a good time. The dentist office for children is a lot of fun, it's full of toys and it's colourful, the kids love it!

  6. I've heard as soon as they get their first teeth and I've also heard at 3 years old. I think the best thing would be to get your doctor's opinion on this one.

  7. Around 18 months for a fun trip to meet them and see the place is good. Then set the first trip for cleaning and floride rinse. This assumes your making all well baby trips to the peds office and that they check her teeth and mouth each time. Ask them what dentist they refer to and call to set appointments very early-my son is 3 and we lucked out and got in to see him about 6 months ago. He is THE kids dentist in town to go to and everyone wants to use him so he now has a 2-3 year wait for new clients and once the child is 13 he send them to a family dentist so he can see the younger kids. He also won't take insurance-it's all you pay and then you deal with the reimbursement issues from your insurance. Well worth the hassel in my book for a great dentist.

  8. Yes,  Your Pediatrition should have made the reccomendation when she went for "WELL Visit" at 12mo.

One year then every six months after that.

  9. American Dental Association recommends age 1.

However, my sons pediatrician recommended age 3 unless there were problems prior to that.

  10. when they get all there teeth in so usually around 3

  11. Any dentist will tell you  3 years old. Because they don't have the attention span to sit and be check out. Not to mention a total stranger messing in their mouth.

I recently took my daughter to the dentist, she's 3, and she wouldn't open her mouth. I explained what the dentist was before hand and she seemed excited then froze when it was time.

I wouldn't take her right now. Might traumatize her.

  12. wow

I don't know where all this is coming from..... i was told the age of 6 by a dentist.

  13. Depends on the dentist, My kids see a pediatric dentist and he will start seeing them at 2 years...
