  1. a kid is not a kid anymore when A) they take responsibility for thier own actions, and B) when they are no longer treated like a child.

  2. I believe that some people act like kids all their life, and others in their early teens make wise decisions.  I guess if you want to be technical, then the age would be about 18- since that is when it is "recognized" that someone has turned into an adult. However, 18 does not make a person mature- just older.

  3. 16.  They can get a job, drive, and they are pretty much have the personality they are going to have in life unless a major life event happens.  That is when the reins from parents have to loosen so they can get experience making their own choices before entering the real world.

  4. i agree with adam u.  when i person is about 10-12 i stop thinking of them as a child.  i'll still call them kids, but i think there's a difference between 1-9 and 10/11 and up

why?  because by this time they usually developed some empathy, some logical thinking etc.  younger kids are still in that imaginary role playing all about myself phase.  however a 10 year while not an adult of course, has usually started to develop some traits that are adult like, and if they froze in that stage forever could still become a viable adult, while if a seven year old was stuck at seven year old, they would always seem child like.

  5. when they reach high school, you have more freedom.

  6. I think a kid is not a kid anymore when (s)he illustrates it through maturity. Kids are dependent upon their parents. Adults are not.

When a kid can move out, pay rent, utilities, drive their own car and hold down a job/career, preferrably, after the college degree is obtained, then you know the kid is now an adult.

    Age is just a number.

  7. you're an adult when you stop wishing you count as one.

  8. A kid is not a kid anymore when he/she can make mature judgements.

For females, this happens around age 25.

For males, it's closer to age 40.

  9. 17-18 because welll idk

  10. When they can ride on the back of a motorcycle

  11. There is no real answer to that. You could be 30 and still a kid or you could be 16 and more mature and responsible than that 30 year old. You're no longer a kid when you're capable of being a mature responsible adult. Having a kid or being married don't count. There's a movie called "Gracie's Choice" Watch it sometime and you will see. Some of us are forced to grow up faster while some of us I guess you can say are spoiled somewhat that sometimes we ignore our responsibilities.
