  1. Once they are 27 kilos, it is more about weight rather than age. At 27 kilos they are considered too heavy for a booster.

However as long as your child is still in the weight range, I personally would be keeping them in booster seats. Without them, there is not much protection should they be involved in a car accident.

My kids are 2, 4 and 7 and the older 2 are still in boosters with the H harnesses. I may be a little paranoid, but you only get one chance at protecting them!

  2. This really all depends on the child's size & weight.  They now say that to sit in the front seat it's about 12 years old & to sit in a seat they should be at least 7.  However if you child is really big & won't fit into a car seat or booster then you would just put them in a normal seat belt. This is really your own personal choice but I would not let my child sit in a seat permanently until they were at least 7 years old.

  3. around the age of 10 but the child have to be around 80-90 pounds

  4. In the USA - I think its 50 pounds - you should check Aussie guidelines. I think the baby seat people want to keep us buying a car seat for as long as possible but most children are tall enough by the 50 pound mark to wear a regular seat belt unless they are way overweight or short.

  5. in the US i beleive its 4 foot 9 and 85 pounds.

  6. It depends on the child but if their chin is level or higher with the bottom of the window the seat belt will work on them,
