My almost 15 year old daughter (november) has started going out with a 17 year old boy- 18 in december. Is this not ok or am I being over paranoid?

  1. If he's not forcing her to do anything what's the harm?

My uncle and aunt are 12 years apart and are fine.

  2. A good rule is half-plus-seven. So the youngest person you should ever date would be half your age, plus 7 years. For an 18-year-old, that would be 16.

On top of that, kids under 18 should only date people who are within 1-2 years of their own age.

  3. When olde rthat would be fine, It will be illegal if the relationship gets over the top.

  4. thats way to far apart !!!!! WTF r u thinking

  5. There relationship can get illegal when he turns 18. I would have them wait until they are older, and for now, just be friends. They probably say that they "love" each other right? Well, if their love is that strong, they will be able to respect you and wait.

  6. After a while, ages is just a number. As long as he doesn't take advantage of her or force to do things.. then don't worry.

  7. Well to get all technical, it's all legal for 3 more months until December.

Then he's considered legal, and her a minor.

But I see no problem with it. Unfortunately the law sees differently.

  8. Okay her birthday his late just like mind.think about it this way!16 dating a 18 year old its not bad at all.if it was she was 15 and he was 23 then YES you should stop it.They are fine!Don't worry as long he don't force to things she doesn't want too.
