  1. If the kids are of the same gender, there should not be a law saying they need their own room. They should be able to share a room until they are ready to move out.

If they are of different gender, I don't know what the law is. But it really is frown upon at about the age of 4 or 5. This is the time when they start wanting their 'privacy" from the other s*x.

  2. I think it's when they start kindergarten... So 5 or 6. Of course kids of the same gender can share rooms, but girls can't share with boys once one of them starts kindergarten.

It's pretty hard to enforce that though..... I know a lot of people whose kids still share rooms.

  3. I don't think there is such a law... Yes, it's probably not advisable to have boys and girls share after they reach a certain age, but I would be really surprised to hear if there was an actual law saying they had to have their own rooms.

  4. Hi!

Seriously, do you have such law in Indiana? Suppose the parents canţt afford better housing. then what? Go to jail?

  5. I'm pretty sure there is no law for that. It's like saying if the kid doesn't have their own room by age 12 the parent is going to jail. Have you ever heard of such a thing? I'm guessing no. The police leave that kind of stuff to the parents. Sorry about your luck.
