What age in Queensland Australia can I get a job?

My friend said she applied for a job and shes 13, my other friend said i have to be atleast 14 and a half, and another friend said i have to be 15?

WHAT AGE IS IT??? CAUSE I REALLY WANA JOB, AND I NEEDA BUY ALOT OF THINGS..

Generally it is 14 ½ to work, but you can work earlier as long as your have your parent’s permission.

I love your reason for wanting a job! That made me laugh!

The official age is 14 years and 9 months without a parent/guardian's discretion, however you can be as young as 13 with a parent/guardians permission to do so....

A lot of big chain dept. stores probably wouldn't hire you until the official age, but smaller stores like local take-away places may tend to do so.

Generally the age that you can start working is 15. But some places may say 14 years and 6 months. Depends on the company
