What age is it to buy multiple "R" tickets?

I want to get my friend into an "R" rated movie who's not old enough to buy it himself. Am I allowed to only buy one ticket at 18, or can I buy two?

You can. But don't have him at the ticket booth  when you buy it. They will card both of you. Technically if he is under 17, you need to be 21 to accompany him to the movie. They may question who the second ticket is for, they may card you both anyway when you give your tickets at the door. Whether you get away with it or not depends on the staff and whether or not they care to do their job.  Good luck.
