  1. around age 2 as long as they are average weight and eat well otherwise.

  2. They should be on whole til 2 for sure. We kept ours on whole til 6, actually, and switched to 2 % - then found he wasn't drinking as much because it didn't taste good to him, so have stayed on whole.

"This mostly depends upon what your child is eating. when it comes to the choice of milk, it ought to be based upon how much fat is entering the child’s diet from other sources. If the fat from other foods and drink constitutes more than 30 percent of the child’s total calories, then skim milk is a wise choice. If, however, the child already has a low-fat diet, then two percent or even whole milk might be best. Discussing your child’s diet with the doctor or nutritionist can help decide which is best." 3. well,my brother was about 1-2 when we started him but we gave him whole milk, idk it was a long time ago sorry

  4. 2 years old

  5. I have read that they need whole milk til at least 2.  I switched my son at that age and will do the same with my daughter

  6. hi, it is best to keep your toddler on whole milk as long as possible. Your toddler needs whole milk  for brain growth, teeth and bones. Make sure your toddler is active and burns off some of the extra calories that whole milk has. Also if your toddler was born with kidney issues switch him to skim milk. Skim milk is easier for him to digest and easier on his kidneys.  Switch your toddler to 2 % milk by the time he enters kindergarten.

    :)

  7. i put my 2 year old on full fat milk at 10 months... hasn't hurt him in any way. got sick of buying formula that didn't sit well with him and cows milk sat well from the first bottle and he slept longer and better from then too

  8. Anywhere from 2 to 5 years old. You can judge according to your child's weight.

  9. My Health Nurse advised I should change my toddler to low fat milk at age 2, the only explanation given as to why was it is a precaution against obesity.  I am currently trying her on the low fat variety with the taste of full cream which she seems to like. I was concerned about her missing out on vitamins etc, so have also been using toddler milk  powder in the low fat as a supplement.

  10. I was told it was 5yrs old

  11. By time your child is two years old, then you can changed to a lower fat milk.

  12. after age 2
