I was just thinking, is there an age that is too young for kids to be taking protein? Also, what is a good age to start them lifting weights if they desire to be involved with sports?

  1. Any age to be honest. Protein (a macro nutrient) is consumed anyway by people of all ages, and if requirements can't be met in a daily diet, supplementation is best to ensure adequate nutrient quantities are consumed. However, due to a lower requirement for protein under the age of 12, a daily diet should suffice, but there is no reason why supplementation cannot be taken if this isn't the case. Often, products like whey protein have ingredients that are extracted from milk anyway.

  2. well on the bottle it says like 18 years old. but the first time i ever tasted it i think i was like 14. i dont recommend anyone under 12 to take it though. make sure to drink plenty of water with the whey protein and cut out on all the sodas...COMPLETELY.

  3. 18

  4. 16

  5. Really depends on the protein, if it is natural protein then no age is too young, if it is manufactured protein (made in factories etc.) then i would say 16-20s at least.

weight lifting: I am 14 and i do light weigh lifting but if you want to do the heavy pro stuff then 18-20 this way their is lesser Chance you will hurt yourself.

  6. The best age to start weightlifting and drink protein powder is 16 years old
