My 4 year old nephew can play some games independently.  My grandparents think it is fun.  It is the most age versatile and universal system there is.  Although, I will say, teenage boys would probably be more impressed with an XBOX 360 for online play or a PS3 for the awesome graphics.

anyone can play the wii. no age range. ive seen footage of like nanna and pa's in nursing homes playing it on the news and like kids would play it to so any age! with the proviso they can  actually play the thing!

it depends on if your a a serious gamer or a kid. I mean you can;t play the wii for a couple of hours mybe half an hour at a time id say 5-12 but if your want the will wait because nintendo is making a new console which they say will be much much better.

Definitely all ages. When I say all ages, obviously I don't mean 2 year olds or 102 year olds. What I mean is maybe 6ish to probably 60-70ish.

My grandparents who are 60ish are playing it right now.

Now granted, they are only playing wii sports but it is still playing right?

They say the wii is designed for all ages and I think they are right considering all of the tittles that ARE for basically any age.

So yes, the wii is for all ages.
