What age should a girl get freedom?

I'm 12 years old and my parents don't give me any freedom! I'm not allowed to walk my dog, go to the mall with my friends, go in my own front yard, or anything like that, without my parents being their because they're afraid of kidnappers. I know they're doing it because they love me but I need a life! I can't even do anything when I'm with a group of friends!

I'm 16 and My Parents Still don't give me Freedom,I cant hang out when ever I please or go to the mall (Only with my younger siblings) with friends.I'm gonna be 17 in three months.You think you have it bad?you're only twelve.Just try to understand where your parents are coming from even if its hard to do so.

sit them down and ask when and at what age do they think they will feel comfortable letting you do some of the things you mentioned and see if you can reach a compromise on some of these issues.

Your parents just care, be thankful.

I'm graduating this year and I hardly am able to do much of anything either, such as walking to school. All parents are different when it comes to rules, but generally the ones that actually care happen to be like yours. Although they are being a little protective, you are only 12. Try to focus on what you do have, no what you don't. Patience is virtue. Wait until you're older, and maybe if you're good you'll be surprised by how soon you'll get to do the things you want to.

If you must have these privileges, talk to your parents. Ask them what they expect from you to earn these things, unfortunately you might just have to wait. See what you can do in the meantime to earn their trust. (psst... try helping your parents out around the house or with anything that you could do that is stressful for them, it really is a plus and shows you have respect for your parents. Respect = Maturity = Trust.)
