  1. i agree babies with their ears pierced is not right. but 11 years old is different. That was the age that i got mine peirced (im 13 now and have never had them infected) but my mum only agreed because i had been asking her since i was 7 and i was responsible for my age)

However definatly make sure you keep the same age limit for getting them pierced, the older will find it really unfair otherwise (and it would be)

To begin with just make sure she dosent fiddle with them too much, and cleans them properly 3 times a day.

  2. i believe getting ears pierced at any age is fine actually. im getting my daughters done when she is about four months old.

  3. If they're old enough to know they want their ears pierced, why shouldn't they have their ears pierced? Especially since they're both old enough to take care of the piercing and clean them and everything. Why make them wait?

  4. I got mine pierced before I was 1

It's not like a nose pericing, so let them do it whenever you're comfortable.

EDIT: Why is it so "horrid"?

It's just like wearing a necklace; another piece of jewlery

  5. anytime really.

    i was 9 months.

my little sister was 6 months.

and do them both, it doesn't cost that much.

  6. horrid? I think I agree with the person above me on that whole race thing, even though I don't like playing the race card.  Just do it soon, no biggie.

  7. I got miine when i was 6 months old. but your daughters i think are at a good age. i personally dont know why parents make such a big deal about it. no offense.

  8. My ears were pierced when I was less than a year old and it was not horrid! Get all there ears pierced. Problem solved & you don't have to deal with it again.

  9. Well, I have been in the same kind of situation as you. I have 2 daughter's (12 and 7). But it's not about the first hole it's  about the second hole! My 12 y/o got her first hole when she was 8 and my 7 y/o daughter got her first hole when she was 6. My husband and I, weren't going to get their ears pierced until THEY asked for it and was ready. I am also VERY against babies having their ears pierced. So now they want another hole. My 12 y/o daughter had her second hole done for her 12th birthday. And I thought it was fine, but know my 7 y/o wants a second hole too, but for her 8th birthday. So I don't really know what to do either. About your question, I think it's totally fine to let both of your daughter's get their ears pierced. Go all toghether and have them done with each other. It will be a memory you'll always remember. Bring a camera and take pictures of them with their new earings and just have fun with it. Just wait until they ask you for another hole!!

    Good Luck!

  10. i got mine pierced at 6 weeks old. let them be kids for lords sake.

  11. well i was 6 weeks old when i got mine pierced

  12. That's why you should pierce their ears when they are around 6 months. I don't know if its a white people thing, waiting 13 years to get ears pierced, now thats horrid ahahaah. Yea every girl in my family got her ears pierced around six months. My niece just got hers, she didnt even notice when the ear was pierced. Horrid? silliest thing i ever heard.

  13. LOL at least your kids have an option. My mother MADE me get them pierced at the tender age of 6! But hey, I'm from Southern Europe and most people seem to get them done that early on in life anyway. Maybe it's a cultural thing, but I don't really think ear piercings are a big deal. Just make sure your kids (especially the younger one) aren't particularly clumsy. I almost tore one of mine out a couple of times while scratching and brushing my hair.

  14. I got mine pierced when I was 5. My best friend will not get hers done till she is 18. Let them both get done when they turn 11. That will be the most fair thing to do.

  15. I think 7 and 10 are old enough.  We never had an age rule at our house.  I figured that whenever my kids wanted them pierced they would ask and then we could have  a discussion on whether or not they were ready.  There's obviously some care involved of making sure everything is clean and doesn't get infected.  I even had to help my 13 yr. old with that, so it's really up to you.  Maybe do each of them on their birthdays.  Kids are going to think alot of things aren't fair, but that doesn't mean that should always change your decision.

  16. I think they are both old enough to get them pierced. I was 3, and I know people who had their babies get them pierced.

  17. I'd say maybe for her 12th/13th birthday, because I got mine done for my 10th or 11th birthday, and I regret it. One of my earrings fell out (The hole then closed) and the other wouldn't come off. Its quite painful for the first while and I think its not worth it.

Its entirly up to you really. If I were you, I wouldn't, but its your choice. Also, if you do let them get it done, ask for them to be done maybe together and both ears done at the same time. That will be much better, coz if say the 10 yo gets it done 1st and only one ear done at a time, she might get scared after the 1st one and not want the 2nd one done, and then the 7 yo might get scared and chicken out (My friend was like that).

  18. i got myne pierced as my 1st birthday present.

i dn't see why its horrid.

    ithink its pretty.

just as long as they are like the little studs.

now i could see if it was like getting their nosed pierced that you would have an issue with it.

but most people have their ears pierced

  19. i know that parents usually get them done when their kids are like only a month old. my mom didn't get ours pierced because she said she fell it was our choice if we wanted them done or not. i got mines finally pierced at 15 years old. having ear's pierced is not a big deal. its not like they are getting a tattoo or a nose ring.

  20. how is baby girls with their ear pierced horrible, ur suppose to get them done when their young, because it will be very hard for the hole to close later on, plus they look cute with them on, u just cant say babies with ear piercing is horrible witout even explaining urself, everyone i know got them done when babies and so did my daughter. Girls that wait until their teens feel left out and there are even cruel people teasing them for not being able to wear earrings.

  21. 6 months

  22. i got mine done on my 10th birthday. but i think you should let them both get it done on their 11th birthday to be fair.

  23. my mom n almost all of da girls in my famiily had their ears pierced b4 dey turnd 1, becuase the skin is like rely new n stuff n it dosnt hurt, my auntie did it with a needle to me wen i was like 1 few weeks old, n my mom said i was asleep n i didnt even feel it. It obviously hurts more wen ur older. I think that it wuld b ok that both of dem go their ears pierced cus dey are old enough n if they kno its gona hurt but they still wana do it den let them, after the 11 yr old gets it down, n if da 7 yr old is der to see how much it hurts mayb she wont want to anymore lol

  24. I would let her get it done on her 11th b-day.  The 7 year old should have to wait since the 10 year old did.  My girls totally understood that their older sister got her ears pierced and they had to wait.

  25. i got mine peirced when i was 3 and my second set of holes done when i was 7 :D

  26. I think you should let the 10 year old get hers peirced, and let the seven year old wait until she is ten.

  27. let them get the pirecong's i got mine when i was really little like a baby
