What age should men stop having kids?

In your opinion, what age should men stop having kids? My husband is older than me and we just had our first. Im just curious what other people think should be the age cutoff for guys and why? Thanks

  1. Morally:  When the odds of him realistically living long enough to raise a child to maturity become slim.

    Biologically:  I defer to those who are in the know about increased risk of birth defects for offspring of elderly fathers.  If there's a risk, that should be considered....especially if you're risking not living to see the special needs offspring to adulthood.


  2. I've read that after a while sperm isn't as healthy as it once was?  Nor are eggs for that matter.  Do you want to risk having a retarded or unhealthy child?  It could happen anyway but this is avoidable.

  3. how would you feel if you were 68 and having a newborn baby and when your child was 18 you were  86...weird. but hey it's what ever he feels like.
