  1. My daughter went into a toddler bed at about 14 months. Only because she would scream and carry on everytime she was put into her cot, It was horrible, the minute i out her into a bed she was fine. I dont think there is a right or wrong age, it all depends on the parent and child.

  2. I would say 2 to 4. but it all depends you have to ask the kid if he wants to be a big kid and sleep in a big bed it is better to start putting them in a bed at a young age

  3. My daughter's pediatrician said as soon as she could jump and was climbing, it was time to get her out of her crib.

  4. I put my daughter in a toddler bed as soon as she could get in and out of it.  (shortly after she turned one)  It really doesn't matter, though.  The important thing is to make sure that you put them in a bed before they can climb out of their crib and hurt themselves.

  5. Depends on the child.

My middle son was in a bed at 11 months. He used to climb out of the cot, and it was going to hurt him one day.

His twin brother was 2years and a few months. No need to rush him, he loves his bed now.

My eldest was adopted at 4yo, and he was still in a cot. No problems, he is in a bed now, feeling grown up.

Some children love their cots, and don't want to move out. I think while they are happy, I am happy.

  6. When they start trying to climb out of the bed. You can get a toddler bed.

  7. my mom has a daycare and she has it to were when the kids turn two they go on a cot it take some time of getting on to them for getting up but for the most part they are so tired that they last like five mins then give in. i would make a big deal out of the new bed so that a way they like it. if u can put on a sheet that was on the crib and put it in the same spot as the crib. make sure u do every thing the way u use too. if u need to make sure all toys are put up before bed time and if u have too take them out. i have seen the nanny do that before. cause the kids would stay up so late playing instead of sleeping. i would also say if the kid is getting out of his or her crib by climbing over yeah it is time for them to upgrade. well good luck and god bless.

  8. I'd say about two and a half or three.

  9. that depends on the child,

the first time they attempt to climb out of the crib they are supposed to be moved to a bed

for my niece that was 13 months, for my daughter it was 18 months

  11. as soon as they can climb out of it, its not safe for them to climb from that high.  usually 11/2 to 2

  12. if your child is standing up and trying to climb the railings then for safety issues i would get a toddler bed. as far as age goes every child is different though...when the time comes you will probably know.

  13. My son started to sleep in a "big bed" when he was about 2 1/2 .  We went out and bought some "cool" dinosaur sheets   He loves it!

  14. Once your child is able to climb out of his crib, it is time to move him into a toddler bed. If your child is three feet tall, you may want to move him to a toddler bed even if he isn't climbing out of his crib. The usual age is about eighteen months to two years.

Moving to a toddler bed can be stressful for many children and it is a significant milestone in their development.
