  1. in the USA you need a learners permit and a licensed driver 21 ? or is it 25 ? with you to practice, and the earliest that you can get this is 15 and 1/2

  2. 18 above....take a crash course to learn fast and safe driving.

  3. If you have a driving permit and a licensed adult (preferrably a parent) then you won't get into trouble.

The way I see it though the problem with teens getting into car accidents is mainly due to lack of driving time even with driver's education courses teens still don't get enough driving time.  When I was growing up I drove farm trucks, tractors, etc not only on the farm but into town.  If teens could do this now they would be a lot better drivers and there would be far less deaths on the roads.

Practicing driving in a parking lot really doesn't give you much help in real world driving, you can't do highway speeds in a parking lot (well safely anyhow), so its just best to get your learner's permit and have your parent(s) go along with you.

I taught both of my younger brother's how to drive on dirt and gravel back country roads in snow, ice, rain, mud etc. and then took them out on the pavement and so far none of us have been in any accidents.  Learning to drive on back roads is not only fun, but it teaches you how to control the vehicle better in low traction conditions and you also learn what you can and cannot do in a vehicle when you don't have very good traction.

Don't just use a parking lot to learn how to drive, use city streets, open highways, the freeway, rush hour traffic times, back country non-paved roads etc, trust me all the different roads you use will make you a better driver, and make you more prepared to handle bad road conditions than any driver's ed course will ever teach you.

    Hope this helps.

  4. If you have a student permit a parent or someone at the age of 21 have to seat next to you. Its the law.

  5. In the States, you must have a learner's permit (age 15) and have a licensed driver 21 years or older in the passenger's seat in order to drive in public areas, such as in parking lots or on roadways.

On private property, you can do it at any age. A lot of people who own acres and acres of land in rural areas begin learning to drive as early as 10 or 12.

  6. You can get a driving permit at the age of 15 and 7 months but you have to be driving with someone that has a valid Drivers licence. When you have had the permit for at least 6 months you can get your Graduated Drivers licence at age 16.
