  1. parents (primary socialisation).............everyone else is secondary socialisation including teachers, friends, the media, role models..........

  2. There are two types of socialisation- primary and secondary.

Primary- Is the first socialisation that  takes place and is usually done by the parents or guardian of the child. They teach the child the norms annd value of the society and ultimately their gender- it has been found by various studies that adults treat babies differently according to what s*x they are e.g talking to a girl and more physical play with a boy.

Secondary- is the next socialisation that takes place by the wider social institutions such as the school, the media these also help set gender boundies for children e.g if you look what s*x is playing with what toys in catalogues, expected behaviour of teachers

    Hope this helps
