  1. Is the closet finished?

The activated charcoal is a good idea, or baking soda.  Febreze will help to a certain extent, but it works better on cloth and carpeting.

If the smell has been absorbed into the drywall, it might be a bit difficult to completely remove......

  2. Buy some activated charcoal.  You can find it near the fish supplies (it's used in aquariums) in most pet stores or Wal-Mart.  My mom has kept it in her closet for years.

  3. Remove all the clothing and wash your closet with vinegar and water, using lots of water, once it is dry buy some little cedar balls and leave them in the closet, or in the pockets of your clothing.  You can find the cedar balls at Target in the housewares department.

  4. febreeze it  doesnt just cover up the smell it kills the bacteria that causes odor

  5. use like febreze or somthing that you can spray on clothes too
