    2-3 pumps is plenty inside.

If I am outside and want to knock the c**p out of something, I choose .22 caliber and a much higher velocity.

before I got the above gun, I used this...

which could kill most small game at 15-20 yards.

a .22 (12.35 grain) pellet going 685 fps has a greater impact than a .177 (6.5 grain) going 900 fps. The .177 is going much faster, which means flatter trajectory, but also means it will pass through the animal often more cleanly. The shock of a .22 means faster death due to greater internal injury. If you hunt, make it your first priority to make a clean, humane kill on the first shot. Be an ethical hunter.

  2. Inexpensive

    Crosman 1377 .177

    Moderate

    RWS 5G Magnum .177

    Expensive

    Beeman/Weihrauch P1 .177

    Weihrauch HW45 .177

    Powerful PCP

    Evanix Hunting Master AR6 .22

  3. both work great for targets and hunting and are equally as good with certain ammo almost all 22 ammo is good for hunting but not .177 for .177 hunting pellets i suggest gamo pba raptor and armor pellets

  4. heyy it all depends on what ur using the gun for if ur shooting paper targets i would get the .177 that what i use however i also hunt squirrels with my .177 and 50% of the time the bb wont take down the squirrel so if u going to hunting i would get the .22 it has a little bit more stopping power than the .22 but if ur going to use strickly for hunting forget the air pistols and go with an actual .22 pistol

    hope this helps
