It's near the Girona airport, which is more inter EU flights, or Barcelona for international flights.  There is no train service to Lloret either.  I have to say it's the least Spanish/Catalan town along the Catalan coast and most Spaniards avoid it like the plaque, especially in summer, unless they're into trying to have an "adventure" with a female tourist.
