What all are the formalities in starting a shop in Chennai?

I am planning to start a shop in Chennnai. It will be a small bakery *** snacks shop. There will be a small provision for people to sit and eat. I would like to know what all are the formalities that I need to complete to make it a reality.

MOST NECESSARY PROCEDURE, IS REGISTRATION UNDER, 'SHOPS & ESTABLISHMENT ACT'. NO OTHER FORMALITY IS REQUIRED. THE PLACE OF SHOP, SHOULD BE, IN A APPROVED  BUILDING, AT A CLEAN PLACE. THE PRODUCT, YOU ARE GOING TO SELL SHOULD BE HYGENICALLY CLEAN & AND CONFORM TO, 'FOOD & ADULTRATION ACT. IF YOU ARE GOING BAKE FOOD, YOU NEED APPROVAL, UNDER 'FOOD & ADULTRATION ACT'. FOR ONLY SELLING, YOU DO NOT NEED THIS.

apply to the nearest police station for permission & with labour office, sales tax registration no to get

after all this you can start your business.
