  1. Take a look at www.journeyprints.com. A JourneyPrint is a personalized anniversary print that serves as a keepsake of memories that should never be forgotten. You and others in your family could get together to think of all the great memories that should be included on the print.  For example, you can include details such as: when/where they met, when/where they were engaged/married, favorite restaurants/movies/dates, kids' & grandkids' names/birthdates, and any other important events that that would be important to your grandparents and your family.

  2. Send them on vacation....the one they would dream of taking but can't afford...

We did-  all the kids split the bill.  we covered the gas, the hotels, gave them a GPS unit (we already cover their cell phone) - and gave them $1000 spending money.

They are STILL bragging they got the best anniversary present they could have ever dreamed of.  Entire family flew in for the party before they went - they got to see all their kids together at same time.  We ordered huge amount of chinese food for buffet - thus no stress for the party/cooking.

They already have every kind of bowl, crystal, etc they want - didn't need anything at all....so we let them go on trip down memory lane to places they hadn't been to in 40 years....and they loved it.  That is what they wanted.

So question is - what would your parents dream of doing - they don't have much time left on this planet - isn't there something they wish they could do but can't afford?

  3. what you whode do pn ther 49th birthday

  4. hay its time to party.

I make a big celebration. I prepare a party in which every one should dress like a 80th actor and actress did.

every thing should me like 80th Music, Environment.

    Invite their friends.

Dedicate some songs for them. and try to make them dance on that songs....

I think it can be great time for them...

    Enjoy...

  5. The 50th anniversary is the "golden" anniversary. It is customary to buy something that is gold. It could even be a gold picture frame. It doesn't have to be real gold. I would try to find either a good picture of them togather or their wedding picture and put it in a gold tone metal frame.

  6. We just threw a 50th Anniversary party for my in-laws recently. We had music from 1958 playing during the whole party. It was fun to watch their reaction when 'certain' songs would come on. We also made a large picture board of many pics of them during their courtship and their marriage. My husband & I ordered an authentic newspaper from the day they were married. It really touched them, when they saw it. As a matter of fact, my father-in-law couldn't put it down, he wanted to read it during the party, lol ! My sister-in-law went around to family & friends and wrote down all sorts of memories and stories. On the day of the party, we played a game that involved those memories/stories. It was a sort of "Who knows them best?" game. Of course, we invited as many friends & family that we could think of. We also had great food & a special 50th Anniversary cake. It was a hit and everyone had a great time.

  7. Have party, called his/her friends and family.they don't care about stuff in old age.they always like to see loved one.

  8. This is a good one we did for my in-laws.  Get a photo album (8 1/2 in x 11 in).  These can be found at Walmart, most pharmacies and scrapbook stores.  They have clear sleeves and a white piece of paper in betwwen each sleeve.  Family and friends can, in advance, or on party night, each have a page or two.  Because its a standard size, it is really easy to work with. They can add in pictures, notes, memorabilia, poetry, you name it.  It's a great memory and people can use the paper it comes with or bring any 8 1/2 x 11 sheet filled with their memories and slip it into the book!  People love to look through it during the party and your grandparents will cherish it after the party!

    Enjoy!
