  1. U have a SMART baby! My son's 18 month's 'n all he does it baby talk. Lol. Says momma 'n daddy but thats it. U have a smart one tho, no doubt.

  2. my cousin is 17 mo. and she can say nana, mama, mommy and daddy( she calls everybody this), cat, eat, juice, hi, bye, no more and a lot of other baby talk only a select few people can understand.  it sound like she's talking to you but she says everything in the form of a question with "um" at the end. today her mom was on the internet looking for halloween costumes and she was going to buy a princess one but the baby told her no and picked out the wizard costume and couldn't be swayed. lol

  3. She probably whines when she is over tired and the ehh ehh ehh is usually when they are bored and they really don't know what they want then they just ehh and point at stuff, because they want your attention or they want you to get it for them. My baby boy is almost 11mths, he only says dada and he said tata the other day. At home we speak afrikaans and at school they speak english, I think it will take longer for him before he starts talking.

  4. my baby doesn't say that much like ur baby does that's pretty good actually. i teach my baby  everything so she could be like ur baby.  my daughter is 15 months and says hi bye daddy mommy food yeah outside. and she also can repeat things i ask her to say my daughter is also very advanced but not as advanced as urs lol.  that's so great u should read books to her that would really teach her alot more.

  5. aww adorable, my daughter is 16 months old too and she can count to 5 when i count with her, she can say kittie cat, car, momma, daddy, tree, yes, no, night night, she can point to people in pictures, she can also point to some body parts, but as for talking good, still not there,, everything else is pretty much wining...

  6. supercalifragilisticexpealidosious. Seriously.

  7. Your daughter sounds alot like mine. My daughter just turned 15 months today. She says alot of words including sentences.

She can say "get down", "all done", "what is that", "what's this", "outside", "shoe", "more", "car" etc. She also knows a few colors like "yellow" and a few days ago she said "purple" I was shocked!

She also points to body parts and says the name of them like "eye", and "toe". She can count to three. She also knows a few animals like "fish" and "cow" and she even says "moo" afterward. She even knows foods and can say "cheese" or "apple". At dinner time when we pray she says "Amen" at the end.

My daughter also still says alot of jibberish baby talk. She also does the whining thing. I think it's because she is trying to communicate something but doesn't know the word yet.

I read in "What to expect the toddler years" that she should be able to say up to 6 words at this age and my little one is far beyond that. I don't even know how many words she says anymore.

  8. My daughter is 17 months and to be honest, there's too many words to write down.  But I'll give a few.......momma, daddy, no, yes, kitty, doggy, cow, horse, car, truck, bottle, thirsty, strawberry, banana, pool, buttons, belly button, cupcake, sugar, tigger, tiger, frog, bird........and so on, the list goes on.  She also ask questions, like who's that, where's daddy, Go buh bye, but she also can say I don't want that plus many other things. But she knows her body parts, colors, can count up 10 with me (not quite on her own), her abc's (she only misses a few).......

Sounds like your daughter is doing awesome!  It also sounds like you are doing an amazing job teaching her and keeping her engaged, and full of learning experiences.  Keep up the great work!
