What all do i need to play a xbox360?

do i need a hard drive what is it for any way do they plug in to wall outlet i keep seeing chargers .. plz any info on what is need to play it off line will help thanx

it comes with everything you need. You only need 3 cables.

1.Audio/video cable

2. the power cable

3. Controller

All of those three comes in the box, when you buy.

The harddrive comes with it too, and it's purpose is to save your progress in games, there's more advanced  things you can do with the harddrive such as save music, videos, demos and more.

you will need the hard drive which comes with the 360 but varies(20 gig to 80 gig to 120 gig) and I recomend getting the wireless controllers and the chargers for the controllers and geting at least an 80 gig. the charger connects to the system via the controller and charges even while the system is off.

power. harddrive is so memory it has nothting to do with chargers. your xbox should come with at least like 512mb of memory all you need is a tv a controller and a wall plug and your good to go

You need a hard drive to play at all.

It plugs into a wall outlet. You need a controller, you can use battery packs for them if they are cordless.

You need a trial card or account to play online and make a gamertag. You need an internet connection. Thats it.

To play offline all you will need is an xbox 'core' system.  

The hard drive part is for storage for downloading demo games, music, videos, pictures - to your 360. The hard drive can be bought with the game...or apart, and then you attach it to the game itself.

If you have the internet, you should get xbox live - $8 a  mo.,

for one mo. - $30 for 3 mos. or $50 for one year. Having xbox live is a great feature - to play with opponants online and talk to eachother with a headset. It's not hard to set up, if you need help networking (using a computer and an xbox 'live' at the same time) - your local cable company should come to your house to help.
