  3. Werewolf mythology is found in almost every major culture of the world.  It is very widespread, but also very diverse.  Not all werewolves are the same throughout different cultures, from Europe to Africa.  The most popular werewolf is the European werewolf, who is said to transform into a beast upon the full moon.

The European werewolf has many names, found throughout the different regions in Europe.  This includes the Albanian (oik), Armenian (mardagayl) French (loup-garou), Greek (lycanthropos), Spanish (hombre lobo), Mexican (hombre lobo and nahual), Bulgarian (varkolak), Turkish (kurtadam), Czech Republic/Slovakian (vlkodlak), Serbia/Montenegro/Bosnian (vukodlak, вукодлак), Belarus (vaukalak, ваўкалак), Russian (vourdalak, оборотень), Ukrainian (vovkulak(a), vurdalak(a), vovkun, перевертень), Croatian (vukodlak), Polish (wilkołak), Romanian (vârcolac, priculici), Macedonian (vrkolak), Slovenian (volkodlak), Scottish (werewolf, wulver), English (werewolf), Irish (faoladh or conriocht), German (Werwolf), the Netherlands (weerwolf), Denmark/Swedish /Norwegian (Varulv), Norway/Iceland (kveld-ulf, varúlfur), Galician (lobisón), Portuguese(lobisomem), Lithuanian (vilkolakis and vilkatlakis), Latvin (vilkatis and vilkacis), Andorra/Catalonian (home llop), Hungarian (Vérfarkas and Farkasember), Estonian (libahunt), Finish (ihmissusi and vironsusi), and Italien (lupo mannaro). In northern Europe, there are also tales about people changing into animals including bears, as well as wolves.

In European traditions, there werewolf is usually a man who has made some pact with the devil, and then spread the “disease” throughout the land.  The myths of werewolves were usually used to explain serial murders and the occasional wolf attack.

There were numerous “signs” of the werewolf in human form was the unibrow, curved fingernails, low set ears and a swaying walk.  It was believed that if a suspected werewolf was to be cut, one would see fur within the wound.  In the werewolves, animal form, the appearance varies from culture to culture.  Most often, they are portrayed as ordinary looking wolves except that they have no tail, have human eyes and the ability to talk.

In modern times, werewolves are popular to put into movies and other fictitious works.  There are many novels focusing on werewolves, and most show them in interesting and new ways.  Werewolves have provided much entertainment to modern cultures, as there have been multiple books written, movies produces, tv series produced and video games produced that feature werewolves in them.

In real life, there are people who use the term werewolf loosely, to describe that they have the mind or spirit of an animal inside them.   These people, called therians, can have multiple spirits inside them, and the experience many different shifts, such as mental shifts, astral shifts and phantom shifts.  Therians do not believe that physically turning into an animal is impossible, as it would cause too much stress on the body and would ultimately kill the person.

  4. First off they did not just come from Eastern Europe. For the werewolf was first reported out Africa and  Far east and they both migrated to Eastern Europe, Where they really started getting out of control..... And just like the first demonic vampire was created by God, The first werewolf was a curse placed on man by Satan.. And both the werewolf and the vampire were placed in to the paranormal zone..... And they both are demonically controlled........ Right now I don't feel like explaining the whole story about the both of them.. But I may do it at another time............. But I will say this to you ... A werewolfs bite will not turn a human being into another were wolf... And there an entire line of men that are affected but satan curse and why that happen and where that curse got started is a long story until itself........ Nor do they need the moon help in any manner.... One more thing for you to remember a myth is something that really took place and man-kind just forgotten how this situation really got started.... Like knocking on wood was a very real thing that man did to trees to wake them up and to remind them to produce their fruit... But because man-kind had forgotten that, knocking on wood has transformed into something totally different...

  5. well. as long as i know. werewolves are actually man who are bitten by another werewolves. they are afraid of anything made of silver. they are actually man who turn intro werewolves during every full moon. their worst enemies are vampires. centuries ago. they use to be the tomb guardian of vampires.

anywayz. i hope they exist. it would be cool.
