What all qualification is needed to get into aviation?

friends........... after lots of contemplations, i have decided to pursue a career in aviation........... well i want to b trained & work as a commercial pilot.......... all i wanna know is tht wht all qualifications is needed to get into it.......... & which r the best aviation academies in india ............. & wud it b a better option to learn flying in india or shud i think of going abroad for it??......... & most importantly. is flying a really gud career option??......... i m still quite confused.......... plss help me out friends........... i need some gud, sensible answers from ur side...........

Excellent idea, challenging job but the stakes are very high. There is a great demand for commercial Pilots not only in India it's world wide. We are witnessing an Aviation boom and will witness even more phenomenal growth as more people choose air travel. Global mobility. being hired faster, high income and exciting lifestyle - it's right choice.

The Basic Prerequisites

i. You must complete your Class XII under the 10+2 system or its equivalent with a minimum of 50 per cent marks in Mathematics and Physics.

ii. You must be minimum 16 years of age to be eligible for a Private Pilot License and 17 for a Commercial Pilot License.

iii. Your vision in one eye must be perfect. In general medical terminology, it is called 6/6 eyesight. In the other eye, you could have an imperfection of 6/9, which must be correctable to 6/6.

iv. General physical fitness is mandatory. You must be free of any disease that can hamper normal function.

Almost all States in India has, Govt. Flying Training institute. The cost for getting the appropriate training and license - step by step will cost you not less than 20 lacs total.

It's expensive but worth for this great rewarding course.
