when i started collage i was well too prepared by everything on their list most teachers want you to at least have a few pens notebook n tons of paper

You should bring your brain.... That way you might actually learn something useful.

A couple notebooks, paper, pencils, eraser (if not on the pencils), pen, calculator, and maybe something a couple other things to organize your locker if you have one.

This really depends on what level you are in school.. middle, high, college.  For middle and high school, you'd be best off bringing a pencil and a notebook with pockets for any handouts.  If your school usually gives books out on the first day, you might want to bring a backpack or messenger bag as well.

For college, bring books, something to write in, and some kind of notebook to put your syllabi in.  Your professor will let you know if you need to continue bringing your books to class, but in my experience, they get annoyed sometimes if you don't already have them.
