What all those numbers on the customer receipt from the bank mean?

Can you tell which bank branch you deposit the money just from the customer receipt?

  1. yes, if you take the receipt to any branch,they can tell which branch did it.The receipt tells the branch,teller #,date,part of the account number and amount of transaction.


  2. ~~Yes, at least the bank would know their branch numbers. Everything used with customers accounts have all the important information they may need in case the check gets lost in transit, or goes to the wrong account. With these numbers that check can be tracked down and credited to the proper account.~~

  3. Generally branch number, teller number, date, deposit amount/payment amount, maybe balance, and usually last 4 of your account number.  

  4. It's the number of ways in which they have managed to s***w you!

    But really, I'm sure one is the branch number, but you'd have to ask the bank.
