I am african american. My hair is thick and curly and i have always worn my hair naturally, usually in twists. Im kind of tired of this and want to try something new and different. I really want to cut my hair and get this kind of shag haircut but i really dont want to damage my hair with a perm or relaxer. Is this at all possible???

  1. You can get a texturizer. They sell for cheap at places like walmart. Theyre alot safer than perms or relaxers. They make your hair soft and easy to maintain. Find them in the same place where the perms are at walmart.

  2. Hot comb...

  3. give yo hair a hard pressing!!

  4. You can try this: is 100% natural

you can also try this I'm not sure if it's 100% natural but it says that it doesn't contain harsh chemicals

I forgot to say that there's a salon that straighten your hair by using 100% natural products and a flat iron. You get relaxed hair results try it out:

  5. The only way is to use heat. A straightening comb, electric or the kind that is heated on the stove. You can also try using an electric straightening iron, but with those it's hard to get the roots straight. Anything else is a chemical process, even though a company claims their product is "natural".
