There is now way to "correct" astigmatism. It will always be with you like a body shape. You can;however, see properly with glasses or contact lenses. Astigmatism is a shape of the cornea that is irregular like a football, instead of a baseball. It will get better and worst, depending on body fluids and time. It is simply a visual correction that has nothing to do with health.

I suffer with astigmatism in the left eye and after 58 years of wearing glasses I have turned to contact lenses which have proved to be very successful.......don't know why I didn't try lenses sooner !
