Question:

What alternatives can I use to get my driver license?

I am in my early 20s and I still do not have my driver license. I have been laughed at by friends because I'm in my 20s and I still don't have it. My goal was to get it before I started back to the college I attend. I know how to drive very well but I just need some more practice. Unfortunately, I live with a family member who is unwilling to take me out for practice and the family member who is teaching me is currently having some health issues that are prohibiting her from doing so. What alternatives do you Yahoo Answers users recommend? Please, no smart alick comments.

  1. If you know all the road signs by a picture and can tell what they are you are close to a licence plus you know what side of the road to drive on and passing zones with 1 yellow broken line and 2 yellow broken lines, speed limits threw town and schools and side streets, plus the limit for a DUI and motor cycle rules  what all 3 light colors mean if so you can get a licence if you have a car that runs and all things work lights brakes horn turn signels has both mirrors on out side and reiw view mirror  seat belts that work, If all this you should go take the test. Have an ID card its not really hard if not sure go get a manual this has all info for you, You have to take an eye test then if pass test and most all answers right BINGO you have your licence and ready to drive. The car you use also has to have insurance they may ask you to park and change lanes go threw some cones to see how you handle the car make sure you always keep both hands on wheel at ALL times. When you come to a stop sign sit there for at least 3 missippissi's count when take off from a stop dont peel out and always use an automantic. Now for not haveing any source for pratice try a friends car B/F grand parents/ mom & dads any one who will let you drive.

  2. go to a private teacher and follow up and complete it this time

  3. Get a friend with a car to help you out.

  4. Tell them that you are a responsible adult and you have the right to learn how to drive and that you want them to help you and support you through learning to drive.

  5. ask some friends or other family members to help. Get the driving book from the Lic Bureau and study it and take the written so you can at least have your permit
