What am I supposed to do, lie ?

People seem to think I'm always in a bad mood, or I'm grouchy or mad about things, and don't know why. Here's a few examples of what I mean. If somebody asks me my opinion about something, and I honestly tell them, depending on the answer I give them, it seems like I"m labeled as being grouchy, in a bad mood, etc, etc. They ask me, I give them my answer, and I'm being grouchy. A great example is this one friend of mine, she asked me if I wanted the rest of her lunch, I said no. She called me grouchy and other people that day I came in contact with was asking me why I was in a bad mood. I've always believe in being honest, but it seems nowdays I am honest and people are labeling me as always being grouchy and moody.

Is it because they're not getting the answer "they want", or is it me? I don't yell at people, give smart *** answers, or am rude to people, they ask me something, I answer, and I'm coming across as being grouchy. What am I supposed to do? Lie? I can't seem to win

  1. You should have said "no thank you but it was nice of you to ask"  *

  2. I know what you mean... I really don't think it's you, I think it's them. People just get hurt for no reason sometimes. I personally can appreciate someone being plain honest, than for them to give me a distorted, "nice" answer. Just as there are people that can't really take a blunt truth, there are people that can :)

  3. hey dude just be urself its cause they dont like what u say a true friend wouldnt care now im not saying find new friends but open up more make some new ones eventually people will start to think diffferent cause u cant be grouchy if u have so many friends am i right dude totally hope did helps good luck

  4. You would be good as a person working at a bait shop that has the sign "The friendliest place in town"  When a customer walks in you could scream   "YEAH WADIA WANT!!!!?" ,,,,   LOL

  5. Yeah, you probably should lie. No one likes to be around others who are seen as negative and grouchy. Really, who liked oscar the grouch? Might want to think about it, otherwise you might find yourself without any friends soon.
