Standard nuts, bolts  and screws tighten clockwise, righty-tighty,. However, Some Gas and propane fittings are "reverse thread"  (counter clockwise) this is usually designated by the nut being marked around the outside circumference with a scored line. twisting something to the right makes it 'tighty', and twisting it to the left turns it 'lucy'.

i say the same thing when trying to remember how to put my water bottle cap back on. LMAO.

Lefty loosie is when you turn something again as in a s***w it will be loose.
