    Left to Loosen

    This applies to most nuts and bolts.

  5. Tightening and or loosening a nut, bolt, or s***w. Could also pertain to a faucet handle etc.

  6. Standard nuts, bolts  and screws tighten clockwise, righty-tighty,. However, Some Gas and propane fittings are "reverse thread"  (counter clockwise) this is usually designated by the nut being marked around the outside circumference with a scored line.     twisting something to the right makes it 'tighty', and twisting it to the left turns it 'lucy'.

    i say the same thing when trying to remember how to put my water bottle cap back on. LMAO.

  9. Righty tighty means when you turn somethig as in a s***w it goes tighter.

    Lefty loosie is when you turn something again as in a s***w it will be loose.
