What am I trying to win in poker?

I mean like....I do play poker online and stuff but I kinda don't know what I'm exactly doing. What am I trying to win? Whats the point? Give me a simple answer.

You are trying to win the pot with the best hand. Practice maybe an option and just watching how others play, to get a better feel for the game.

some play for fun others may like to lose but I play for the money.

In poker you are trying to maximize your money winnings with good or bad hands.  It is not always the best hand that wins.  Poker is a game of patience and the challenge is making the best decisions with the hand you are dealt and trying to win as much as you can and lose as little you can.
