  1. Your Costa Rican American (Latino - American per nationality poll) because neither of your parents are full blooded americans.

  2. i would say your nationality would be the same as your parents but you would be a citizen of US

  3. costa rican OF COURSE!!

no matter where you live or were born!!, personally both of my parents are swedes and I was born in the states but that doesn't make me an american!

    I'm still full blooded swede.

and not because I wouldn't want to be an american but because it's just not possible!

that's like- if I was born in Japan and I would have to call myself a japanese just because I was born there...-- that just doesn't make any sense!

  4. costarican american./

  5. You are entitled to American citizenship if you were born in the USA, though there are a few exceptions (ex. for diplomatic personnel).  Go to http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis and click on Learn about U.S. Citizenship for more information.

You are also almost certainly entitled to Costa Rican citizenship if both of your parents were Costa Rican.

You may be able to choose which citizenship you want, and you can also probably choose to have both (become a "dual national").

I would recommend getting both Costa Rican and USA passports if you can.  If you are outside the USA you apply at the nearest US Embassy.  You will need an official copy of your USA birth certificate and you can expect the application to be examined carefully.

    Good luck!

    You have a lot of good answers, but the right one is this;

You are an American by birth and Costa Rican by blood,

There is only one race of people that are the true people of America, and they are the American Indians because they are the aboriginal people of the lands, every one else are known by their ancestral bloods.  People born in America are called Americans even though their blood lines go back to Europe, Japan, China, Mexico, Argentina, Australia and so-on.  So don't let any one tell you that you are not an American because by all accounts neither are they.

Be proud of who you are, whom you want to be and whom you will be come, hold your head up high and be proud to be the AMERICAN that you are.

Keep the Faith and long live America.

    ....cya....

  7. You are a dual national.  You have right to citizenship in both countries.  At some point you must choose one nationality or the other.  Until the age of majority you are allowed to have either or both passports (but must use only one while traveling).

  8. If you were born in America you're an American.  It doesn't make any difference where your parents were born.

  9. I don't know because I have the same problem, but both of my parents are from Brazil. People that I ask this question told me that I'm Brazilian just because My ancestors are Brazilian.
