I used to have long hair but just recently it started to break off and now its really really short and its also very very thin. I straighten it everyday and use leave in conditioner. My best friend does the exact same thing but she has long thick beautiful hair. what am i doing wrong? We use the same conditioner and shampoo we both was it everyday and straighten it every day. my hair is naturally curly but since it became damaged and broke off its now just frizzy and dry. Hers is wavy and its very healthy looking. What is wrong with me?

  1. it depends on the kind of hair you have and all the other stuff i would quit straighting my hair if i were you because the heat does that to peoples hair and its hard to fix... so if u must straighten it try using a thermal protection product from tresseme or got2b

  2. There's nothing wrong with you! Everyone has different genes, different shapes, sizes, and especially HAIR! My friend who's Filipino just like me always grows out long, luscious, shiny black hair, while mine is just straight and black and... just not as luscious or shiny. :P

For your hair's sake, I would say just don't straighten you hair everyday. That's definitely a no-no if you want your hair to be healthy. The heat from straightening it will definitely cause your hair to become damaged and break. Are you sure your friend straightens it everyday? Perhaps she's just lucky. :)

  3. Straightening your hair everyday is destroying it. Especially if your not putting heat protectant on it beforehand.

  4. genetics

stop straightening your hair, if you wanna keep it

  5. Are you eating a healthy diet? So many young girls are starving their bodies to look like a magazine ad. One of the first signs of that is hair breakage and damage.  If you are eating healthy maybe you should see a doctor and make sure some other health issue isn't going on.

  6. if you continue to straighten your every day you continue to damage your hair so I suggest that you stop before the damage becomes non repairable

  7. Yea, genetics does have a lot to do with it. But, straightening it everyday isn't the best thing you can do, either. You are likely gonna have to get the "dead ends" cut off and start anew. Don't straighten it everyday - try using soft rollers or other methods.

  8. try not straighting you hair for a while and change shampoo the new panting length's shampoo is really good just put it in a messy bun for a while
