New York, specially Manhattan island.

Manhattan spans quite a few miles from the Battery on up to 180th Street and above, and is shaped like a large, canoe really.. and seen from a distance on land  from NJ or Brooklyn or Queens.. it's astounding.  (Of course, it's been this way for 70 years... and that's where the name NY Giants came from in baseball & football.. both where played at the Polo Ground at about 90th St. because of all the tall buildings -- or "giants".)

New York City is actually 4 other boroughs, other than Manhattan.. and they all have tall buildings that can rival most cities on their own... (like Brooklyn). In fact, residence or apartment buildings that are overlooked only only 7-30 floors.. might comprise/compare to the "downtown" or city centers in other, much smaller cities, like say a Cincinnati or Boston. (Brooklyn's population along dwarfs both, combined!)
