  1. Kent Faststeel is an OK mid price ammo. Use BB or #2 for geese

Black Cloud is more expensive and worth it. Use same size

HeavyShot is the best waterfowl steel shot money can buy, but its very expensive--like $3 a shell.

Invest in a good choke tube like the Paternmaster Choke tube which is designed to shoot steel shot further and tighter. worth the investment if youre going to shoot cheeper ammo.

  2. because you are hunting waterfowl, you need to use non-toxic shot.

This means either use a special lead-imitator like Tungstun or Bismuth (which is expensive) or use steel

if you use a lead imitator, #4-#2 shot is going to work fine

however, as steel is less dense than lead, you need bigger pellets to have the same weight per pellet to get the same performance.  Hence for steel you want B, BB, or BBB

Note, the shells are expensive, but think how much you spent on hunting already, you really going to fuss over $20 for more expensive ammo? If you have a bad hunt because you didn't spend just a little more for the best ammo, how money wasteful is that going to be?

  3. 3 1/2 inch shotshells.... for the Super Mag and 3 inch for the regular Express magnum...

    Take a look...
