  1. basically for helicopters the engine power determines the amount of weight the helicopter can be, essentially it must be able to pull more weight than the helicopter.

    for planes it's different because the shape of the body and the airflow around it generates the lift. so there are a few "tricks" that let you make heavier airplanes but that only goes so far.


  2. that's not necessary you can adjust your lift generation to correct that
