I wanted to know, what would be the best audio set up I can get that has about an even level of SPL(Sound Pressure Level,a.k.a Bass) and SQ(Sound Quality)? My budget is under 1000 dollars installed. The vehicle I currently drive is a 98 F-150 XLT Regular cab. Definitely want to have components and subs. Don't know what amp to get. Truck has all the wiring necessary because it had a similar set up already.

This is the basic idea of speakers that I want to have:

2 pairs of these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Diamond-A...

and 2 of these:http://cgi.ebay.com/SONY-XS-LB12S-SHALLO...

This is a basic idea of what I want, so any suggestions would be fine.

  1. Go ahead an take whichever route you'd like!

But, I'd like to recommend that you don't waste your money on a capacitor. They are nothing but hype, and will draw more power than the sound system itself would!

Instead of buying a capacitor, buy some extra 4 gauge wiring, and do a proper "Big 3" install. Search around online for the "Big 3." It is essentially running large wires connecting key components allowing more of the power created by the alternator to flow much easier!

  2. I used to have 2 12" Audiobahn Sound Q Aluminum Cone dual voice coilover subs (which keeps good even levels)

-powered by 1600 RMS Ultralinear Amplifier - type x

with a 1.2 farrad capacitor (any brand will do)

-and just go to google and type subwoofer enclosures and get one of those , any type will suffice.

And get the wiring from google as well somewhere. decent gauge.  and you'll be bumpin' good bro, have fun.
