What amp is right for me?

I've been playing guitar for about 3 years now and feel its about time to upgrade my 15 watt ibanez toneblaster. I'm looking for an amp with a lot of versitility and range in sound. For example an amp where i can get an exceptional clean jazz sound, but also be able to get a nice distorted metal sound. Cool little features ( song presets, usb interface, etc) also interest me. My price range is 200-300 and use for mostly home and small gig so no more than 75 watt would be acceptable.

Is the spider iii from line 6 a good amp?

  1. I received at 200 watt Spider III for Christmas last year, and I must say it is the best practice amp I have ever used. The sound is great and the features are many. It doesn't have a USB interface, but it has a couple hundred presets including several that are by the bands who wrote the songs. The sound is very customizable and it works great with all of the foot pedals I've played around with.

I would definitely recommend this amp.

  2. Check out Roland Jazz Chorus.
