  1. depending on how the sub is wired you can get impedance's of 1 or 4ohms at the amp

    the lower the impedance the easier/cheaper it is to power but the lower the sound quality

    so the amp needed will have about 1000watts RMS at the correct impedance (1 or 4ohms) and is also CEA-compliant which means that the amp has been tested and produces or exceeds the advertised RMS wattage with minimum distortion
