I want to run 2 12" Alpine SWR-1222D 's. http://sonicelectronix.com/item_4243_Alpine+SWR-1222D+-TYPE+R-.html

I dont know much about speakers, but i will get some, mayb four, im not sure how much the car needs that im going to get.(becuse i dont want to blow the stock speakers)

the peak watts for the alpine subs is 1500. I dont want to ALWAYS blast my music, jus keep it running at its rms level. But i want a strong enough amp to embarras my freinds(maxx out the subs)

What kind of amp would i need?

I was thinking of getting 3 1000w amps since theyr pretty cheap, thats 3 thousands watts, just enough to maxx out both subs when i need to and when im not maxxing out the subs, keep them running at ther rms level along with the speakers inside the acutal car.

what amp should i get, what speakers INSIDE the car should i get, how many amps, and which are the best ones??

Sorry for long explenation

  1. You should consider a Kicker 2500 watt mono-block amp with a bass boost. Kicker is the only subwoofer distributor i will ever use. You will only need one amp not three.  If you really want to embarrass your friends get you some L7's. The 10" L7 will out perform almost any round 12's.  Do you have an aftermarket radio with RCA jacks on the back?  If not i suggest that should be your next investment.  A good system always starts around a good head unit.  If you do this and wire your subs right you will blow your friends mind.  Your stock speakers in the car will be fine, just turn the bass to the lowest setting on your radio, and then switch on the bass boost on the amp. It will beat like crazy.

  2. well my guess would be that nobody needs an amp if you are in it to try  but if you do get an amp get the green one it is the one that always keeps me going!   :)

  3. No buddy NEEDS an amp.

  4. rockford,jl audio make some of the best sub amps on the market and are affordable. as for speakers u can go with jl audio, or pioneer. but i do not know what type car. the pioneer speakers are tough, and dont cost much and work for all types of music. u may want to go to a stereo shop and listen to combos of this stuff.to see if u like it.
