  1. Hi most engines run about 90 c fans cut in no more than 120c you should hear the fan cut in and the temp stay constant soon as you move and get airflow over the rad this should then drop.If the rad fan or sensor is faulty the fan will not operate causing overheating, also a blocked rad, poor water pump, non sealing pressure cap or faulty temp sender can cause this(reading high) but go for fan operation first..

  2. Hi there, the coolant fan should cut in about 92'c no more than 96'c. I recently repaired a similar fault on a cbr 600 and I had to replace the temp sensor, it was faulty and the coolant had started to leak through the sensor, corroding the connections,  new sensor and bingo, sorted!!

    Hope this helps.

Takes some getting too but disconnect the sensor plug and use a peice of wire to connect both terminals of the plug and the fan should start if not the fault could be coolant fan related too.

  3. errhavent owned one but obviously its got to stay out of the red t should remain below half on your gadge just check is it filled correctly? does your fan cut in correctly does the motor run correctly? mine sturted out collent in the summer at the beach once dont know why but seems ok now dont let it run to hot for to long or your gonna get ur wallet out. good luck mate zxr750 freind. william. ireland.
