The characteristics should be associated with the shift to bipedalism. Cheers :)

  1. "START WITH YOURSELF"

When i was young and free and my imagination had no limits, I dreamed of changing the world. As I grew older and wiser, I discovered the world would not change, so I shortened my sights somewhat and decided to change only my country.

    But it, too, seemed immovable.

As Igrew into my twilight years, in one last desperate attempt, I settled for changing only my family, those closest to me, but alas, they would have none of it.

And now as I lie on my deathbed, I suddenly realize: If I had only changed my self first, then by example I would have changed my family.

From their inspiration and encouragement, I would then have been able to better my country and, who knows, I may have even changed the world.

"I don't know the key to success but the key to failure is trying to please everyone!"

    good luck

  2. From what I know of hominids as you call them, they are Primates, and as primates have two arms and two legs, that automatically makes them bipedal, but I know what you mean. What makes animals change their mode of mobility is when they change their source of food supplies.

  3. You'd expect to see evidence of having lived an forest existence and now are moving about on the ground. You'd see changes in the hands and feet as they would spend less time in trees. Plus wear patterns on feet and knees from going about on the ground.

Compared to tree dwelling apes the species would be less capable climbing and hanging from trees. Posture would be more upright so the knees and spine would differ.
