I am trying to phone a cell number in Zihuatanejo and can't get access to a mexican cellphone. I reside in Canada... the above number is just a cell number that I picked out from an ad posted in Zihuatanejo... in respect of my friend's privacy...

  1. The "+" represents the IDD, or International Direct Dialing code.  It is only a symbol representing an optional prefix number required to dial International numbers from your country.

When dialing International from Canada and USA, the International Direct Dial access code is 011.

    So, from Canada, you will dial 011 521 755 102 3770

  2. all that means is dial 521 then dial 755 ect the + or - jsut mean to dial the srquence of number first like 1-800

  3. I am not sure how it works in Canada, but in the UK the + sign for an international call means that it would be 00521 etc

  4. You don't need to add the + (plus) sign in the phone number.

The plus is there to indicate, add if needed, such as in your case, the international code?

Just dial all of the digits together, 5217551023770.  If you have international calling available, otherwise an operator will help you/give you directions.

    Good Luck.
