Actually, that's a cultural question.  In western countries rabbits are considered lucky, but parts of other animals are also used to bring luck.  Shoes and tails from horses, fox's tails, etc.

In other cultures a host of animals are revered or thought to bring a special fortune to someone.  Elephants, tigers, monkeys, cows, dragons...  those are just a few.

The question would be what culture and what time period are you asking about?
